In Math this year, your son or daughter will be entering the world of problem solving! Students will be expected to use the new math skills they develop in large problems that require much patience. It is rare that students can solve these problems automatically, which makes them more like puzzles! The most rewarding part of math problem solving is learning to feel fine if you don’t know the answer – students will learn to take small steps towards the larger solution.
