In Language Arts we have started Frindle, a novel by Andrew Clements. During this unit the students will explore Media Awareness. They will be learning about media ads and how advertisements are created to persuade customers.

Important Reminder
Students should be reading an English book for a minimum of 10 minutes every night. Books can be read from home but must match the child’s ability.
I agree! When you open a new book magic happens! The smell of the pages, the anticipation of getting to the end of a page and turning it not swiping it.
I am very fortunate that 2 out of 3 of my kids (only 2 can read!) love books and never ask to read on the iPad etc.
Children should learn to go to a library, choose a book they like, it is magic going along the shelves searching etc.
